Council 6462...A Brief Introduction...

The Knights of Columbus Council 6462 serves an active role in the activites of Saint Joseph Parish. The Council was started by 28 gentlemen of Saint Joseph Parish on May 8, 1973. Since then, the Council has grown and integrated into the parish community. They Council hosts community, spiritual, and social activities throughout the year in support of the parish.

For the community, the Knights organize and Marshall the Fourth of July and Labor Day parades in Mendham, NJ. The Council collects monetary donations for the developmentally disabled each spring and collects clothes and furniture for Appalachia twice a year. The Knights award two scholarships each year to eighth graders who will continue their education at a local Catholic High School.

Spiritually, the Knights of Council 6462 sponsor the "March for Life" bus trip to Washington, D.C. Individually, the Knights serve as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and participate in many other parish activities.

The Knights' social activities include a summer picnic, Christmas party, and a St. Patrick's Day party.

If you would like to learn more about the Knights and become a member, please contact Dennis Kwasnik.
